Public Notice: Beware of Fraudulent Invoices

The City of Harbor Springs has been made aware that fraudulent invoices are being sent to individuals who have submitted applications to the City Council or Planning Commission.

These invoices are not from the City of Harbor Springs and should not be paid.

Please be aware of the following:

  • The City of Harbor Springs will never request payment by wire transfer for an application to a City board, commission, or elected office.
  • If you receive an unexpected invoice, payment request, or email claiming to be from the City, do not send money or provide financial information until you have verified its authenticity.
  • If you have any questions about a communication, you receive that appears to be from the City, please contact City Hall directly using the official phone number or email listed on the City’s website.

If you believe you have received a fraudulent invoice, we encourage you to report it to the City so we can continue to monitor this activity and help protect others.
