DDA Downtown Streetscape Project Plan and Lamppost Updates
Progress on the Lamppost Painting Project
The DDA is excited that three lampposts have been painted in three test colors and now the survey input for the final color choice can begin. Cold spring nights and a very rainy June put the project behind schedule and the survey is starting a little late, but the deadline has been extended for some extra days. If you want your opinion to be included, go to the corner of Main and Spring Streets. Three of the poles there have signs on them that will give instructions. Basically, follow the QR code and rank your favorites from one to three. One vote is allowed per mobile device. The survey will close at midnight on August 4.
DDA Announces New Enhancements to Downtown Streetscape Project Planning
The DDA is extending the Streetscape Project Plan Survey deadline until Monday, July 6 at 6 pm. This means that there is still time to give your opinion about things that matter to you.
Also, -In an effort to give as many people as possible a chance to contribute to the plan, a new schedule has been developed for the remaining public meetings. All of the originally announced dates are the same, but a few more have been added. See below for the final schedule and check back to the streetscape web page for future developments. July 8, DDA Special Board Meeting—Beckett & Raeder will present a review of the Open House Survey and the online survey and a Project Status Update to the Board. Public comment will be taken.

Friday, July 17, at City Hall, Noon to 1 pm
Monday, July 20, at City Hall, 5 to 6 pm – Members of the public are invited to stop by City Hall to chat and give their opinions about Wants and Needs and Don’t Wants and Needs. These informal meetings will be great opportunities to tell us what you really think and learn more about possibilities you may not have considered.
July 30, Community Open Meeting, 5 to 7 pm—This Preferred Plan Showcase will provide a review and preview of the project. After the presentation there will be time for another round of public comment.

July 30 through August 10 – Hop online to take a quick and easy survey. Yes, no, or maybe answers will suffice for these short and simple questions. The survey will be available online until August 10.
August 12, DDA Board Meeting—Beckett & Raeder will present a review and summary of input received during the Preferred Plan Showcase presentation and second online survey. This will be a dialog with the DDA Board. Public comments will also be welcome.
September 9, DDA Board Meeting – The DDA Board will hear a final overview of the concept plan from Beckett & Raeder. The public is welcome.
NEWLY ADDED DATE!!
October 13, DDA Board Meeting – The DDA Board will have on its agenda consideration of adopting the Final Streetscape Project Plan and forwarding it to Planning Commission for review and City Council for approval.
