The City is currently looking to fill one paid position on the City of Harbor Springs Board of Review. Applicants/City residents can contact the City Manager Victor Sinadinoski or the City Assessor Jeff Grimm at (231) 526-2104.
The Board of Review meets annually in March to hear comments and/or protests from City taxpayers on their assessed property value, to settle protests of assessment, correct clerical errors, mutual mistakes of fact, and to receive applications for Principal Residential Exemption (homestead percentage). Dates and times for these meetings will be published in the form of a Public Notice approximately two weeks prior to the meeting.
The Board of Review may, if needed, meet in July and December to make clerical corrections and receive applications for exemption.
