City Infrastructure Projects Beginning in Summer
The City has three major projects that will begin as summer winds down. Please be patient with construction crews as we work to improve our roads, water/sewer, and buildings for our residents and visitors.
- Pine & Arbor Streets Mill and Fill project, where the top layer of asphalt will be replaced with fresh pavement. The project will cover Pine Street between Arbor and Hoyt, and Arbor Street between Pine and Bluff. It is slated to begin on August 15 and last up to two weeks.
- State Street Infrastructure Project. State Street between M- 119 and Summit will see a new surface and new water & sewer infrastructure. This section of State Street will also be narrowed, and part of the eastern section of Bluff Drive will be regraded for improved visibility. Will begin on August 25 and last through the end of October.
- Harbormaster Building Project. The HM Building is being renovated by replacing the existing public bathrooms with laundry facilities and adding public bathrooms to the west side of the building. Will begin after Labor Day and last until May.
