Noise Control Committee

The City is forming a temporary and advisory Noise Control Committee to review noise-related issues and concerns in the city. The Committee will:

  • Compile a list of reoccurring noise issues in the City
  • Discuss and analyze whether or not certain noises are excessive for the community
  • Suggest methods to mitigate noise-related nuisances
  • Review Section 60.400 of the City Code on noise control and recommend potential edits, if necessary

The Committee will consist of the City Manager, City Attorney, Police Chief, one (1) Councilmember, and three (3) members of the public. Meeting days and times will be determined after the Committee is formed. If you are a member of the public who is interested in serving on this Committee, then please complete a citizen participation application and submit it to City Hall or e-mail to citymgr@cityofharborsprings.com. City Council will select Committee members at the September 19th Council meeting.
