A Message from the Harbor Springs Crisis Action Team

Governor’s COVID-19 Executive Orders

Governor Whitmer has issued several executive orders over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. While all of these orders are important, Executive Order #2020-70, also known as the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order, is the most expansive and relevant to the general population. Please read these orders in detail. In general, residents must stay home unless they need necessary supplies (such as groceries and medicine), they work for an essential business or are part of the critical infrastructure workforce (as defined in the orders), they are partaking in outdoor recreation, they need to attend a funeral, or they are caring for a family member or visiting an ill family member. However, there has been some easing of restrictions, such as on what stores can sell, landscaping services, and boating. People can now travel from one home to another home; however, it is not encouraged. Short term and vacation rentals are still not allowed to operate.
