From the Desk of Fred Geuder
April 10, 2008
The City of Harbor Springs is pleased to be “on-line” with its own web site. Working with Alpha Geek Web Design, we try continually to make our site simple to navigate, while hopefully providing useful information to you our users.
I would also like to refer you to the City Notices section of the web site, where you can find both public hearing notices and seasonal notices of interest.
As spring is blossoming, the spring brush and leaf pick-up will be starting on April 21st, and continuing through May 27th. Please refer to the City Notices - Seasonal page on the web site for the rules associated with the pick-up.
Winter parking rules in the City are no longer in effect, and hourly restrictions in the downtown area will not take effect until after Memorial Day. If you do have any questions about parking, please contact the Police Department at 526-6211, and/or check their web site, harborspringspolice.com.
I consider Harbor Springs a very “walkable” community, and it is good to see the snow and ice disappear. If you are walking your dog, please remember that City regulations require you to pick up your dog waste. Carry a baggy along, and then drop the waste into a garbage can. Other walkers will appreciate your cooperation.
I also want to compliment our City workers, who collectively do their share to keep Harbor Springs running. They are busy cleaning up after a long winter, and getting the parks in top shape for the coming season.
We also look forward to the coming flowers, and we always want to thank the Garden Club volunteers for all their efforts in the parks and the downtown area.

City Manager
